2007 Achievements

  • 37 dogs and cats spayed/neutered, many using AnimalKind’s $20 Fix
  • 1 dog treated for infected foot/nail
  • 1 dog to A New Leash on Life rescue and 4 puppies to HEART Rescue
  • 2 dogs treated for dog bites/wounds
  • 3 dogs treated for mange
  • 2 cats euthanized- severe dog bites and Leukemia positiv
  • 1 dog and 2 cats rescued from a home where the owner was put in jail. The dog was adopted through the SPCA of Wake County and the cats found a home together through a vet tech who fostered them
  • 1 stray kitten to a new home
  • 2 dogs to the vet for infections and heartworm tests
  • During the State Fair a mother cat and kittens were rescued by a visiting fair worker who contacted our animal ministry. Mother cat was spayed before leaving with the kittens and the fair worker to Journey’s End No Kill Animal Society in Tennessee. Kittens were spayed/neutered when old enough and all found homes through that rescue.
  • 2 dogs had rabies shots, distemper boosters and heartworm tests
  • Many pounds of dog and cat food distributed each week


2006 Achievements

  • 54 dogs and cats spayed/neutered
  • 1 euthanasia of a puppy ( heart defect)
  • 2 eye removal surgeries: 1 cat, 1 kitten
  • Mange treatments and antibiotics for 2 dogs
  • 1 surgery for a dog with an ear hematoma
  • 7 dog houses given to needy families
  • 2 rescued dogs taken to New Leash on Life for adoption
  • 6 kittens placed in loving homes
  • 1 dog placed in a loving home
  • Vaccine clinic in March 2006 served 31 dogs and cats
  • Many pounds of dog and cat food distributed on a weekly basis
